About

Hi, I'm Emily! I have done placenta work since 2013.  My background in healthcare and food service have given me a foundation in how to work in a sanitary environment.  I am ServSafe certified and keep up to date of blood borne pathogen training. Cleanliness and OSHA protocols for working with placentas are taken seriously for the safety of clients and my own family as placentas are processed in my home with tools designated for placentas only.

I had my first child in 2010, at home. My experience with him fueled a love for birth, moms, and placentas. I have been involved with the Trust Birth Initiative and starting the Salina Birth Circle in Salina, KS. These groups facilitated conversations, connections, and support for birth in all settings and evidence based practices.

In 2014, I moved from Salina, KS to Hutchinson, KS where my husband had started a new job. Also in 2014, I gave birth to a daughter. At a distance, I passed the Salina Birth Circle baton along to moms in the immediate area.

When I’m not doing placenta work…
