Fall Update!

No posts since July? It doesn't mean I haven't been thinking TONS about doula-ing and childbirth education.

I'm getting excited about a few things (which I'll tell you about).  And I'm also finding some bumps I'll have to get over to get where I want to be.

At the end of October is the training for Pregnancy Service Center! I'm excited to start teaching their classes and finding a place for my passion!

I've almost got a plan for being able to be on call for births! I need to be making money while I do it, especially for my certifying births which I will only be charging my expenses for. (Ask me about that!)

I haven't figured out any way to doula without a second car though, so we're praying about finally replacing the rabbit.

I'm also looking for a mama who wants me to encapsulate their placenta! I'll only charge the cost of start-up supplies which isn't much.

Also, if any mommies want to help me get some photography practice, especially for maternity shots and newborn pics, shoot me a message! It would be great to get some newborn fingers and toes and belly shots on the site here!

One last thing thing I'm super excited about is the Trust Birth Initiative!  We'll soon have our very own Trust Birth group in Salina! From their website: The Trust Birth Initiative is a grassroots birth advocacy and support initiative for families.  It is supported by small, voluntary donations of time and money by individual mothers and fathers all around the country.  Emily DeRocco from Cotton Bottom Baby and Smoky Valley Chiropractic and I have both attending meeting in Wichita, loved them, and are thrilled to bring the Trust Birth Initiative to Salina, KS!
